A team of robot pickers has helped produce out-of-season strawberries in the UK. The strawberries were grown under glass at a farm in Lincolnshire and picked by a workforce that included 20 robots trained to recognize when the fruit was ripe. The project, owned by Sir James Dyson, aimed to show the potential of technology in aiding British agricultural growth and reducing the need for imported fruit.
