LG is set to demonstrate a customisable cross-domain computer for vehicles at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Developed in collaboration with Magna, a Canadian automotive supplier, the single electronic module is intended to support automated driving and in-vehicle entertainment systems in vehicles from 2027. The module has been designed to handle applications such as displays, augmented reality head-up displays and visualisation software, and can support real-time data sharing across different domains. LG and Magna have already collaborated on a cockpit computing system integrated into a single integrated circuit, and have developed the LG Magna e-Powertrain, which combines electric power-train knowledge with LG’s motor components.
