Two new industry standards developed by the Broadband Forum are set to improve network services delivered to customers through the use of artificial intelligence (AI). The Automated Intelligence Management (AIM) framework utilises AI, machine learning and automation to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. It can predict errors before users notice service problems and will provide new revenue streams and save costs for service providers, said Bruno Cornaglia, Broadband Forum SDN/NFV Work Area Director. AIM will improve network maintenance and increase flexibility, thanks to its cloud-native technology.
