The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Pakistan has announced plans to automate the property record in Islamabad in order to prevent bogus and fraudulent cases. The project, which has been under consideration for the past nine years, aims to computerize the record of 45 million papers within a two-year timeframe. A government firm will be responsible for the automation project, including maintaining and running the property record. The decision to proceed with the automation project was made during a meeting of the CDA Development Working Party, chaired by CDA Chairman Captain (R) Anwar ul Haq.
