A subsidiary of the International Society of Automation, Movu Robotics, has provided leading logistics service provider Kris De Leeneer (KDL) with an automation system that offers 45,000 storage locations and the capacity to manage 11,000 pallet movements per week. The system, called Movu atlas pallet shuttle, is an automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) that can be easily expanded as demand requires. It maximizes storage capacity, reduces manual handling, and helps to minimize personnel risk and picking errors. The system comprises a 28-meter-high atlas rack, 20 Movu atlas pallet shuttles, and Movu WES software to manage the shuttle traffic. KDL’s DC also includes advanced conveyers and turntables provided by Ceratec.
